How To Banish Stealth Smells In Your Home

You may not even notice how bad your home smells. After awhile, your nose becomes accustomed to the smell. When your guests arrive, though, they will definitely notice and may be afraid to tell you. You will need to be proactive in making your home smell better if you want to be proud of it.

Open The Windows

Open the windows. There is nothing that smells better than fresh air. Also, the direct sunlight kills bacteria, which are another contributor to bad odors in your home. You may be concerned about the pollutants that are outside, but indoor air is often more toxic than outdoor air. You have to worry about dust, radon, and other toxins that can build up, make you sick, and ruin how your home smells.

Keep Your Home Clean

Clean your home as much as possible, especially your bed. Horrible odors can build up throughout your home literally anywhere that is not cleaned regularly. Your body sheds skin cells and body odor. All of this can contribute to the odors in your home.

Reduce Your Garbage

Get a smaller garbage can. The more frequently you throw out the garbage, the less that your home will smell. Also, look for ways to reduce the amount of garbage that you produce so that you do not have such a large quantity of garbage stinking up your home. Purchase food products that more often that are easier to finish, such as a can of nuts. Banana peels and apple cores can contribute to the odor of your home as they decompose. Also, have a place in your home far away from the action where you can place your smelly garbage. Also, do not forget to regularly check your garbage disposal. This is an often-neglected part of the home that can make your kitchen smell horrible. Even better, you should stop using a garbage disposal and simply toss everything in the trash.

Get An Electronic Air Cleaner

An electronic air cleaner is one of the most important parts of making your home smell great. If you do not regularly filter the air that is in your home, pollutants may enter and these can be very bad for your health, in addition to ruining the smell of your home. Electronic air cleaners can be placed in the center of the room and will pass air through filters that will trap particulates, making your air cleaner.
